Are you a veteran entrepreneur looking to start up a business?  Have you already started a business and are interested in different programs available to veterans to grow their businesses?  We are writing to let you know about a veterans event next month that will provide resources in these key areas.

In its 38th year, the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Miami Program provides networking and professional development opportunities for potential leaders in Miami-Dade County.  Operation Opportunity is an initiative of 38Helping Others Together  (Team 4) of the Leadership Miami Class of 2016-2017.  This program is specifically focused on creating entrepreneurial and professional opportunities for Miami-Dade County veterans.

As part of Operation Opportunity, 38HOT is hosting an entrepreneurship workshop to provide training, networking and resources for veterans looking to start up a new business or grow an existing business.  Attendees will hear from experts in the following areas:
  • Starting a Business
  • Accessing Capital
  • Resources to Support Veteran Entrepreneurs

Speakers include:  United Way Mission United; the U.S. Small Business Administration; the Beacon Council; and the Florida SBDC at Florida International University.

This workshop will take place on Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 6pm - 8pm at the United Way of Miami-Dade’s Ansin Building, located at 3250 Southwest 3rd Avenue, Miami, FL 33129-2712.  Refreshments and light snacks will be provided.
