5th Annual National Day of Civic HackingDate: October 21, 2017
1951 NW 7th Ave
Miami, FL 34136
National Day of Civic 'Hacking' is an annual international event centered on promoting open data initiatives and locals hacking ways to help improve their community. Thousands of people from around the world will tackle challenges using datasets central to their environment, government, public services, and other civic-oriented topics.
Here in Miami we are focusing on how our city can stay resilient beyond the face of natural disasters like Irma. Code for Miami will put together an engaging program that will allow participants to work on projects that will examine and help Miami and its most vulnerable populations be more prepared and connected.
The event will bring together urbanists, civic hackers, government staff, developers, designers, community organizers and anyone with the passion to make our city better.
We will collaboratively build new solutions using publicly-released data, technology, and design processes to improve our communities and the governments that serve them.
