The InternetCoast has big plans this year, but we need your help to MAKE IT HAPPEN. Specifically we have the following "committees":
Events - We have 2 major events planned this year, one in the spring and one in the fall Research Report - We are updating and expanding the prior reports we completed in 2000 and 2005. Funding/Grants - We have identified a couple of areas to apply Digital Divide - Continuing to drive regional cooperation Marketing - The lifeblood of the InternetCoast, our website will go through a complete redesign this year

InternetCoast Wins ITFlorida's 'Excellence in IT Leadership -Southeast' Award

Save the Date: Florida Future Summit
The Greater Fort Lauderdale Broward Economic Development Alliance is holding their "Florida Future" Summit from 8:30 am - 11:30 am on Friday, February 5, 2010. Dave Brill, President of the Florida Chamber of Commerce Foundation, is set to speak at the event. The summit will be held at Nova Southeastern University at the Rose and Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center, located on 3100 Ray Ferrero, Jr. Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale, FL 33314. InternetCoast Members Get Reduced Rate: SFTA's 2010 State of the Technology Industry Report Event
SFTA is presenting their "2010 State of the Technology Industry Report" from 5:30 pm-8:30 pm on January 28, 2010. The event will be held at the Fort Lauderdale Marriot North Hotel, located on 6650 N. Andrews Ave. InternetCoast members can receive the reduced SFTA membership rate by entering "InternetCoast" in the notes portion of the online registration form. Knight Foundation Spurs New Round of Local News and Information Projects Nationwide
MIAMI (Jan. 12, 2010) -- Twenty-four innovative ideas that will help meet America's information needs have received $4.3 million from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. The projects - submitted by community and place-based foundations nationwide in a Knight Foundation contest - include: Examining the Chicago area's changing media landscape. For more, click here.

ISACA is holding their 3rd Annual South Florida WOW! Event entitled "Security & Governance," from 7:30 am - 8 pm on Friday, January 15, 2009.
