InternetCoast's Florida Innovation Highlights is an information resource that provides analysis and insights on innovation and technology driven job creation and economic growth in South Florida and across the State. 

The purpose of Highlights is to provide a tool to stimulate dialogue to better understand South Florida and Florida’s innovation ecosystem, its impact on the competitiveness of industries, and opportunities to leverage innovation to stimulate job creation and economic growth.  

Florida & South Florida Scorecard

The Scorecard is a concise summary of key performance indicators (KPIs) essential to stimulate innovation, business formation, job creation, personal income growth, and a more diverse and sustainable economy in South Florida and the State of Florida. The Scorecard focuses on inputs such as R&D expenditures and STEM degrees conferred, and outputs such as growth in high tech industry and STEM employment and licensing revenues at Florida's college and university system.

Florida Scorecard KPIs will measure and compare Florida with national and state trends, benchmarking Florida's performance with other states based on each KPI measure.  

South Florida Scorecard KPIs will measure and compare South Florida with select metropolitan areas around the U.S. and national trends.

South Florida Capital for Innovation Scorecard

The South Florida Capital for Innovation Scorecard focuses on South Florida investments and grants that stimulate innovation, business formation, job creation and sustainable economic growth.  The Scorecard includes analysis of sources of funds for academic R&D, seed capital for proof of concept and commercialization of new products/services and processes, and venture capital for small business growth and expansion.  Learn more and download the Scorecard here>>>
