Enterprise Florida: International Trade is big business in our state and we know what it takes to make it happen!

Published Wednesday, December 5, 2018
DID YOU KNOW? Florida is the 8th largest export state in the U.S. thanks to 60,000 Florida companies exporting $55 billion in goods overseas. Sixty-five percent of those exports were shipped by Florida companies with less than 500 employees.

WE CAN HELP! Enterprise Florida is the state of Florida’s principal economic development partnership. We have helped thousands of companies around the state grow their business in global markets through nationally recognized programs. If your company is already exporting and looking to increase sales or if you are new to exporting, we can help!

TRADE GRANTS AVAILABLE! Enterprise Florida offers trade grants worth up to $10,000 that Florida small and medium-sized manufacturers and services providers can receive to help reduce the cost of doing business overseas. Our trade grants can help you exhibit at overseas trade shows, find an overseas business partner, develop an export marketing plan, or build a foreign-language website targeting your top global markets.

Target Sector Trade Show Grants

Eligible small and medium-sized manufacturers and professional services providers can apply for a Target Sector Trade Show Grant to help offset trade show booth costs when you exhibit in overseas trade shows.
  • The Target Sector Trade Show Grant reimburses 75% (up to $7,500) or 100% (up to $10,000) of select booth-related expenses depending on company size and target market.

Gold Key / Business Matchmaker Grants

Organized through the U.S. Commercial Service, the Gold Key Service arranges meetings between U.S. companies and prescreened, prequalified partners in foreign markets with an interest in your products or services. Similar one-on-one business matchmakers can also be conducted by pre-approved service providers.

Export Marketing Plans

Enterprise Florida, in partnership with the Florida SBDC Network and the U.S. Commercial Service, offers qualified Florida manufacturers and services providers the development of a customized Export Marketing Plan to identify overseas growth strategies for your company.
  • The cost to prepare an Export Marketing Plan is $5,000. Qualifying companies are eligible for a $4,500 grant, making the cost to your company $500.
